I Should Have Known Better!

When I was growing up, my dad always warned me about credit cards. He told me that while it’s nice to get things you can’t afford, you’ll pay for it far longer than you’ll enjoy your new toy. Like most young adults, I thought I knew better. I racked up a lot of credit card debt, and now, I couldn’t even tell you what I bought. I can tell you that I can’t afford to buy much now. My monthly payments are out of control. I decided to swallow my pride and ask my dad for advice. He told me I should look into a debt relief program. We went online and found one that will consolidate my payments. Rather than make several payments that barely cover the interest, I’ll make one payment that will pay down all of my balances. It’s going to take some work, but I know I’ll get out of debt. I also know that I won’t let myself fall into the same trap again!
